To the Boss:
Good luck with the Disney gig! That’s why I found “favor” with you. As I said, I like your style. I’m so proud of you. I hope you come back a winner after “making the cut” among the 700 potential talents. Thanks for reassuring us that you weren’t “really” going to abandon us. St. Francine will lead us well. I like her.
I don’t know who “Eric Whitacre” was but from the Wikipedia.org photo, he kinda/sorta reminds me of my ex-boyfriend, who once sported that “devil’s beard”. He’s quite handsome. Now, I know why you are such a fan of his. I’m NOT familiar with his musical background. Perhaps, you’d wish to share your videos with me/us.
Anyway, the brutal audience would agree with you: that the nature of choral music has changed to include unnecessary noise, such as drums, cymbals, whatever. The wise cracker and her old man did not really like the clapping to song during Thursday morning mass. I don’t mind the gospel version: It’s quite festive/upbeat like our new choral music “Gaudete by Piae Cantiones”. Am I supposed to practice Refrain Number 3? I wasn’t paying attention. I’m deaf, remember?
So, duh! I’m at a another cross-road. Miss Yoh told me that I could “double-up” my ministry and wear the robe while offering the “Cup”. But I do NOT believe in the new ministry after reading how we are supposed to drink-up the remaining swill: I got SCARED! I told her that I was clueless and surprised that the coordinator didn’t get my submitted “interest”. But it was too late.
At least, I learned that from her and the cane lady their expressed concern for my “disappearance”. I just wanted to try something new; at least take ONE freaking break; and teach y’all a lesson I’m NOT needed. She told me that the group messed up. I joked to her that the brutal audience knew/heard your goof.
The lead is VERY professional in his email replies today and I appreciate him for that, except your substitute who has MUCH to learn. Your substitute is doing much better at “covering-up” our mistakes/enhancing our harmony, which the guitarist does so well, too!
During practice last practice, the guitarist played “More Than Words” by Extreme. (I loved that OLD video and their LONG hairs!) And I kinda/sorta sang along the tune with him and afterwards mumbled under my breath: “You are good”. He is great daddy. We saw the WHOLE family of SIX two days ago (Thursday).
But honestly, I feel like I have to leave the group. They sang a birthday song to someone (I don’t know who) and seemed happy even after I walked away fast. I’m NOT related and just because I’m Filipino, y’all are putting up with me. That’s just my “sense”. Maybe I should go, now that you Mom is NOT there…
However, I got another concerned parishioner, who noticed that I wasn’t practicing with the group for tonight’s mass. I was sitting with Maw in the pew and was waiting for Paw to drive himself and join us later. But Maw told me to practice with them. I had the lead’s “hard copies” from Tuesday nights’ practices to show my OBVIOUS support. So maybe I’m still “needed”. I give up!
We had to leave Paw behind because he took a late shower and we were anxious enough to leave early to get a case of “PEE-WEE” eggs (30 count for $1.99). We plan to boil all of these eggs for our chicken/turkey/beef tripe/rice porridge, which the stupid boy and his twit wifey refuse to accept today after bantering via text message.
She uses that damn word “accept” as if everything on this hellish planet operates that way. Well, I do NOT “accept” both of them, period. Messed up people do retaliate for their “hurt feelings”. I’m not surprised since they keep fighting from the beginning. And I guess they think everyone fights dirty like them. We’re not putting up with these brats.
If their “friends” knew how they mistreated each other and us, that won’t be cool. Yeah, so you and your bratty little sister better stay cool with your parents no matter how nutty they behave. We got her thank you card, which I thought of sharing via text message with your Mom, wherever she is: Is she still in the PI?
Also, I know about the guy having a child with another woman. So, that makes your little sister a step-mom to the brat. But that should NOT matter because she found someone she loves/who loves her. And that’s important. I can do better than her and almost did and I don’t know if I want to add misery to my life by bragging about it online prematurely. Only “he” and pals would know what I’m thinking about here… Hehe!
Like I said, it’s okay. If you “love” (gag, gasp) your tall/white woman, fine. There’s nothing your parents can do to change your “path”. I’ll just roll-up my eyeballs (not into my head, of course) and look skyward; tilt my head back and expose my bare throat to your knife; let out a sigh and expect my death; and wonder to myself – this is how your Mom feels!
I don’t blame her or you ungrateful brats for putting up all those years with each other. Just because you have your own houses, your own friends, your own lifestyles/preferences/whatever, I won’t forgive your kinds if you forget where you came from, how you got there, and what influenced your behavior, which is mostly genetics.
Huh,
“Ate” Flynn…
P.S. Yeah, yeah. If I could, I’d hook up with musicians (a la Satan, the most beautiful angel in all of heaven, or so doth thine story-tellers reckon…)
