Well, while I’ve donated stuff, Paw and I ended up buying stuff! It’s insane to get rid of stuff just to accumulate even more stuff. But this stuff is for sleeping. We went to Anna’s Linen and I thought that matching brown comforter set would replace Maw’s pink ones. But I wanted a cotton/polyester blend. After Paw bought his six Dust Devil filter for the heater (12x24x1) and galvanized wire for gardening, we went to Eastridge Mall.
Our first stop was Macy’s, it had two nice designs for $75 each! But they were 100% cotton, which is known to shrink. The thread count is nominal at 200; while the thicker and better ones have more thread counts. Our second stop was Bed and Bath Beyond, but they had plain-colored styles and didn’t carry a fitted, vinyl protector for Maw’s XL Twin mattress. Her vinyl covering cracked last night. Our third stop was Sears, where I found an XL Twin comforter for over $50. They didn’t carry XL Twin sheets. Our fourth and final stop was JCPenny’s where they had the right blend and colorful sheets — two each for Maw and Paw. The set was $20 for one fitted, one straight and one standard/queen-sized pillow. Maw got colorful circles for one and the other colorful strips. Paw got bright blue and dark cream.
The shopping time took four hours of walk. Earlier today, I walked around the doctors’ offices for over 30 minutes. Maw’s doctor had arrived late from the hospital at 11:20am. We arrived at 10:20am. I was pissed! To Obama and pals, they should deduct points from doctor’s that make patients wait for more than 15 minutes! The system is a monopoly! I don’t like it! With that said, today’s mid-morning walk helped to warm-up and strengthen my legs after two weeks of less walking and for this afternoon’s shopping walk!
Of course, en route home bound, one black SUV tailgated me. I just yawned and let off the accelerator to let the skin-head of a Mexicano know NOT to mess with me. I just slowed my speed down some more when traffic was up ahead. I have learned to control my temper but still curse the fools for not realizing that most don’t have health insurance.
