Well, according to Maw this evening while watching a Bruce Willis movie flick, she mentioned how Josie (or Josephina or preferably Lourdes) made faces as we walked by in front of her. She had finished taking her Eucharist and was kneeling down on the front most pew, next to the side door to the `right`.
Since we sit on the second pew behind her, we decided to sit in the center of the same pew since yesterday. Today was the second day. At least she turned her head to her left and we both waved a feigned early morning greeting to each other. I though she was deaf and had a hearing aide in her left ear but it appears she knew we were coming and probably had good peripheral vision to know.
After hearing how she had made faces when Maw walked by and then me, we have decided to sit to the back section of pews towards the `left` side of the door. Either the first most or the second pew will do just fine. I’m opting for the second so that she could crane her next to take a gander at us.
We noticed that people do not fill the area where she is located. We also noticed how a couple in their 80’s would sit on different pews each morning. I guess my remark about cat hairs in the food given by the old lady had hit home base. She no longer talks to people and doesn’t smile or wave at us.
Listen folks. I’m not here to be friends with losers, mainly nutters and old timers. I’m here to destroy your sense of sanity. Frankly, and as per Ben, nutters and devils alike attend this local church. People fight in the back and egos are filled by bragging about traveling and all sorts of fulfillment of charity amidst hopelessness and the faithfully blind.
