I’ve downloaded and tested several applications to help convert my weblog files of mostly .rft and .doc. into .html files. They are saved with lots of other references that I wanted to separate those out. But it’s all manually entered one by one over the past two years. I guess there is not way to export my files (in an .xml format) from WordPress.COM and import those into WordPress.ORG.
I found that some of these conversion tools are expensive and only one was free with a key for resetting in case I didn’t want to purchase this ‘shared’ software.
I like the three sample ‘html’ files that are ‘static’ pages. These are saved in subdirectories, by the way. I don’t know any other work around. If only we have a paid upgrade that will allow valid administrator’s access to their WordPress.COM files, that would be wonderful.
