Whoo! Hoo! After updating the ‘Access Log Setup section’, I’ve discovered (right below) how to use this ‘Free! Access Log Analyzer’ called ‘Weblog Expert Lite’ via the ‘Create & Update > Access Logs’ section under the ‘Web Hosting Control Panel’ of ‘Yahoo! Small Business’. I used my fast FTP connection to download quickly the text files of five ‘logs’ from my server.
For whatever dumb reason, I kept trying to ‘create’ a ‘New Profile’ for the ‘script.log’ file and kept getting this error message that the data is invalid. So I used my greatest noggin again and tried running the analyzer for the ‘access.log’ file instead and, lo and behold, I see y’all are ‘browsing’ my new weblog site at Flynn’s Paws. I see around one dozen who knows about my site. I feel so empty. Maybe it’s not so popular after all. Waaahhh!
Earlier, I had more fun with add-ons. At night, I got my ‘Free Clocks for [My] Web Site’. I always wanted the correct time displayed for my time zone on my weblog site. So, I chose both the ‘date and time’, copied and pasted the HTML code of `iframe src`on my widget titled: ‘Current Date/Time’. Now I’m happy.
Later on last night, I browsed the WordPress plugin directory to find some navigation tree to add-on my weblog site. I encountered two that helped organize the pages by either setting as parent or child pages or including or not as part of the top (or navigation bar). But these two plug-ins were not what I had in mind.
So I found one plug-in that ‘expanded and collasped’ the ‘archives, links, pages and categories’. It’s too bad that it didn’t expand on one other element like, ‘tags’. I ended up placing the ‘orgone’ widgets on the upper left hand corner of my left sidebar. The searching widgets for my mostly empty blog entries is located on right sidebar.
My ultimate goal is to merge my old blogs from the FREE WordPress.COM site with this ‘self-hosted’ site at WordPress.ORG. The project of creating a database via the ‘Microsoft Office Access 2003’ didn’t work out as I expected. I kept getting error messages about invalid values. But I don’t want to copy and paste each over one thousand post entries this way. I successfully created three sample files with the ‘Table Maker’ via the ‘HTML editor’. But that’s tedious.
Now my next issue of this early morning is to create those darn error pages. I guess it only works for PAGES only and not for ‘forwarding domains’.
