I’ve dreamt of a map. It felt like more to the right field of vision. Two colors were obvious — azure blue of the ocean to the left of a salmon pink of sand to the right. There was a darker strip of blue separate both elements.
Like some of my dreams in the past, I would “zoom” into the designation and found myself at a “beach”. I see two buildings, one of which “felt” like mine (maybe the one on the left when facing the “front” door). But my house wasn’t the same and I kept looking in a distance to another part of town where I felt new houses were being built by tip-toe – up and down – and past a high dividing fence from the construction zone. I felt that someone else to my left needed to know that I had a house over there.
The “new houses” being built were to my two o’clock direction; while the two “beach houses” were to my nine o’clock direction. Straight ahead was the “ocean”. It was shaped like a U coming towards me and the color was deeper blue and dark enough not to be able to see through the surface.
I had put my form-fitting, rubber shoes on: It was a light pastel color (of which I saw a little Asian girl wore one with holes while the three of us shopped at the nursery after lunch today. She had stepped into a puddle of water from the drain-off of watering the nursery plants. The Asian mother spoke straight English).
Anyway, I wanted to enter the water and I did — all the way up to my neck, I believe. My “mind’s eye” zoomed past through the dark blue color of the water and imagined seeing some pebbles. I didn’t want to step on anything living, including microbes but convinced myself that it was okay to walk upon the underwater surface, which I felt through my rubber shoes as smooth bumps.
Then I felt my weight supported by the water and left my water hang freely but not too long because I felt and feared that the gentle currents of the water would pull me too far away from the shoreline.
I had decided to swim sideways to my left and back towards the shoreline. As I got out of the water I saw my other self looking at my swimming self from behind. My swimming self could feel the weight of the water from both my LONG white shirt and baggy underwear, which my other self saw as hanging too loose like those seen on an old granny.
That’s how some of my dreams are: at least one or more of my selves looking and experiencing from different “angles”. Neat.
