While blogging about my dream journal at around 10:22am (PDT), I heard the doorbell ring. Maw was already trying to peep at the window as I silently crept downstairs. We thought it was the divorced nutball next door. But we recognized the old white gentleman, who would go around ringing doorbells offering his bag of oranges, which were nine and two lemons when I counted them later on the kitchen counter.
We didn’t answer the door and he went to three others before I walked fast and caught up to him. Just as he was leaving the third house, I smiled, waved and hollered: `Hi, neighbor!` He handed me a plastic Safeway bag and I asked how much for the bags of oranges. He said, `One dollar`. And I gave him an old dollar bill.
He said answered simply: `It is a fine day`. I mentioned the weather was good and he replied the same. I further motioned twice in the direction of the house that he rang the doorbell. We said our farewell and he got into his beige-colored, Dodge caravan and drove off northbound on MY road.
From his driver’s window, he waved goodbye and did the same from the path leading to our front porch.
Oh yeah, after he accepted my dollar bill, I read aloud the caption on his beige-colored cap: Coquille River Lighthouse. You can view the `Coquille River (Bandon), OR` website from http://www.lighthousefriends.com/light.asp?ID=127. He wore the same cap as before.
I further researched online on:
Question:
What does the lighthouse symbolize?
Answer:
The lighthouse popularly symbolizes light and hope in the midst of darkness. It is a reminder that we are not alone in the darkness – that there is someone out there watching over us.
Truly, this morning’s encounter (like many that I’ve blogged about in past post entries, which none hardly reads or cares to digest) is truly an `angel in disguise`. So yes, God, Allah, Buddha, Brahma, and pals are everywhere. Brouhaha!
Thank you, Father (and/or Mother) wherever you are: Hello!
