20221004-1743. Finally, I have created a single-column similar to Twatter! I have set 24 posts to fully display (and NOT as excerpts) on the front/home/feed page!
Each post has its normal layout, just the way I like it: post title, post content, and post date. See? Simple and no extra post-meta stuff, such as author, categories, tags, and the like!
Earlier this morning, I was wonder why the “default” Site Editor continues to bring up the “Footer only” template! In other themes, the “Index” or “Home” or “Home and Footer” would show up.
Now I reviewed my Settings > Reading. Lo and behold, the Static page was set to “Home” and “Posts”! This was probably still stuck during propagation from my old self-hosted site into this full-service platform!
I was pissed off the whole morning and now I’m more relieved after this discovery a few minutes ago! Now I’ve saved the new Settings > Reading to Latest posts displayed!
So now if the archive crawlers are taking snapshots, at least the posts would be available in fully summary mode instead of excerpts, and in case the Jetpack Backup blows up or fails to do its job, which happened I dare vouchsafe share unto y’all back in April/May 2022. Do NOT doubt unto moi! Foul play!
So now the both the “cover” and the “footer” are colorful!
I’ll have to clean up any old reusable blocks. But then again I tend to “hoard” old, unwanted, useless stuff, much like in real like or imaginations too, short of addiction, or obsession, or other compulsive behavior.
That’s all. FlynnsPaws.
Hello Flynn, nice, and good luck!
