After morning mass yesterday, we shopped at Seafood City in Milpitas, CA. While checking out, we encountered Gloria, a choir member and parishioner. As we walked each other outdoors, a black kid was sitting on the circular columns and asking for a quarter. No one replied.
As for Carlos, Gloria kept reminding him to stop being so grouchy. Of course, he wasn’t there since he was working at the church that time. I told Gloria that he may be grouchy because of a medical condition related to the heart.
Further, Poi (another parishioner) has thick blood and is taking blood thinner. She is VERY snappy. And last Friday, I reminded Maw that Poi is so clogged up that she “talks back” to people, aspirates as if having a difficult time breathing while talking and shuffles her feet while walking.
As per my old blog, people who are quick to anger (grouchy like Carlos and snappy like Poi), they have health problems, meaning vital oxygen is not being sufficiently supplied to the brain. And a brain starved of oxygen looses control and exercises “bad judgements”.
They could have blocked arteries already, high blood pressure, hypertension and diabetes — all exacerbating their “bad attitudes” towards calmer people. So when you encounter someone who behaves “mean”, it’s because they have health problems. Or they are insane. Just keep quiet and excuse yourself politely.
