20230525-0658. I failed to mention that the “Page Break block” works VERY well with the “Table of Contents block”.
Some pages were TOO long and so I had to use the “Page Break block” to split those off in its own “jump page” link.
Using the “Header block” is required for the “Table of Contents block” to work effectively.
H1 headers are reserved for the Post or Page Title.
H2 is the “starting” header for the “content”, followed by the “list-like” layers of headers from H3 through H6.
The FlynnsBlogs site had most of my pages and I modeled the pages after a generic “book design” with the front, middle, and back sections.
The FlynnsAngels site had did NOT have pages since 2006. I used my saved OLD Yahoo! Business Site Builder default pages from 2006 and then created more pages as “fillers” by borrowing some of my OLD poems in reply to emails from/by a spooky spook agent JB.
But I really wanted a “book-like” appearance or at least the feature of flipping through or turning the pages instead of viewing ONE long page for both sites.
Fast forward years later and just this morning, I managed to make my TWO of my OLD sites behave like a book with links numbered in ascending order located below the “content” or each “page”.
It’s a matter of testing and retesting, deleting, reviewing and making all sorts of editing until my stuff is perfected – at least unto moi!
End of blogging.
Hello Flynn, nice, and good luck!
