Today I’ve canceled two services.
First was Netz#ro at around 3:30pm. My phone was answered by a FOREINGER with a thick accent, more likely Filipino. For almost ten minutes, she tried to sell me the Nort#n protection free up to June 2011 but with an AUTOMATIC PAYMENT OF $4.95 as of July 2011. This was a back-up internet service (HiSpeed) in case the other internet service died. But so far, I’ve not problem except maybe once or twice. PLUS, my old laptop computer is SO friggin’ slow that it’s useless to try logging online in this manner. I’d have to wait one FRIGGIN’ hour for an email confirmation, of which I had to beg from that woman!
Second was @&T at around 3:44pm. Julie was a nice lady and in three minutes she process my request. She sounded like a smoker with her lowered and thicker voice modulation. Unlike the first one, I didn’t have to hear any sales pitch several times or repeat my request to have the account cancelled. I would receive an “final bill” through regular mail because the online access would be disconnected and there would be no way to retrieve a softcopy (or .pdf version) online. I regret having the homeowner drill a hole in the walls just to accomodate the second phone line.
I’d save $42.00 a month. But I still have to repay Paw for internet useage. That’s around one thousand dollars, of course. I owe my elderly parents financially for the free food, lodging and loans and morally for taking care of me for so long.
