Without reading past the recent news headlines, my current understanding is that the workers are not forced to pay union dues/fees. However, I wonder if the unions offer “protection” those workers who voluntarily opt-out of paying. For example, Paw mentioned how the USPS protects those who don’t pay. I am not clear on this recent ruckus.
