After testing out the (feed) Reader feature via https://wordpress.com/following/manage, I discovered that I could follow/subscribe to my own sites and receive email updates “instantly”, “daily”, or “weekly”. I can receive email updates for either posts or comments or for both!

The funny thing is that the body of the email shows one sentence and then a link labeled “Read more of this post”. That means the “more tag” does NOT work when applied within the few characters of the blog entries when viewed from the WordPress mobile app > Reader section!

Well, on the WordPress mobile app, the reader shows at least one sentence, even if I applied the “more tag” to blot out everything that could possibly show up on the (feed) Reader section. I didn’t bother counting how many characters are allowed as excerpts.

But I can see that my self-hosted site (feed) Reader is showing my post_content but under a different blog_site_URL! I can tell because I labeled the site_title with only the username for the wpcomstaging account and then for my self-hosted site the domain name only. That’s how I can tell the difference between the two similar sites – one being in Private mode and one being in Public mode.

Welp, here goes! I have to complain again by submitting my professional findings of these system glitches! Wow! I’m getting tired!
