In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “Daily Ritual. | Think about your day. Select one of your daily rituals and explain it to us: why do you do what you do? How did you come to adopt this ritual? What happens on days when you can’t perform it?”
Good Flynn: Happy 75th Birthday Mom! That’s how I’d start my day: rejoice as if every day is a birthday! If I remember (and I don’t always), I’d give pause to the Lawd Gawd in praise and thanksgiving for love, life, and living. I’m grateful for waking up from one dream and living in a nightmare as the day rolls along.
Evil Kitty: Upon waking from my catnap, I’d pause to decide what to do next. There is no particular order other than the usual slow drawn-out yarn, long body stretches, and body lickings and scratching. My only other must-do ritual is to use my privacy chamber and to scratch my human awake in preparation of the soft and moisten meat from the tin cans.
