Bad allergies. Parakeets. My beloved pets make new sick!

I’ve noticed that I’d get flu-like symptoms after sticking my nose up close through the bars of the bird cage and allow Mr. Mel to make kissing noises of happiness.

Plus, I’d inhale the exhaust of dust, dirt, poop, feathers, dander, seeds from the lime-colored Miele vacuum cleaner, which I personally bought as a reminder of Miss Budgie’s roundness and coloration and specifically for cleaning up after our pet birds.

So, that’s what the doctor of Mom told her, the parakeets can cause allergies! These birds are small compared to the stinky smelly poop and urine of cats and dogs – both of whose furs shed a heck more than feathers.

Maybe after these three we won’t have anymore pets.
