20130814-1452-Thoughts Aside

Well, TBTP and pals have done it again! A few hours ago, I was thinking about two of my old blog posts! I just clicked on two of the articles via my “Top Posts & Pages” section of my “Stats”.

Anyway, the first one is a copy/paste version of my Archive Tweets. It has poems, politics, open-letters to the Boss (my ear candy only, of course), and other annoying rants. It’s amazing how many thoughts can come into one small mind. Imagine “snooping” around with countless other internet users! The data collection effort must be massive!

The second one is filing for a restraining order. It was on July 17, 2013. We got parked at the Hyatt Hotel area incorrectly and then parked a bit farther from the “Family Courthouse/Restraining Order Help Center” in downtown San Jose, CA, where I picked-up the Civil Harassment Forms from the “basement”.

We then went to the “Notre Dame Courthouse” where I forgot about my baby scissors from kindergarten at the security check point. It was here that I learned that only criminal cases, not civil cases, would get “representation” of some sort. That was a waste of $6.00 in parking fee the whole day.

I wanted to pay the fees on that same day but it was late because I needed more time to review and fill out the forms properly. The following day was more of a learning experience. Only Paw accompanied me back to the “Help Center” where I learned that my “case” wouldn’t fair well.

In front of me looked like an Asian mother, perhaps Filipino, with long/thin/stringy hair and a over-the-shoulder bag. She told the two clerks behind the acrylic window that her husband assaulted her with a plastic baby bottle, which she pulled out from the purse and presented the object to them.

I then saw that she had the same forms I had. After they checked her forms, she was directed to the “Document Specialist” window to our left. I sensed her case was stronger than mine. I only had two hours or so to have my forms reviewed by them and then pay my fees elsewhere.

While still waiting in line, I saw other clients and their representatives come out of the courtroom to my right. One tall, well-dressed woman sat with her “attorney” and said that she changed her mind. I guess you’d call that another “sign” for me to re-consider my next course of action. The other one was male and was told that it doesn’t look good.

So my turn came up. They reviewed my forms, pointed out the name of the woman listed on my form, looked at each other “knowingly”, and then told me that sheriff wouldn’t have any problem serving her papers. I thought I would get to go to the window to our left, like that woman before me.

I learned that 300 yards is the maximum distance to “stay-away” from the victim. But since the divorced psycho nutter lives next door to our garage, she is allowed to enjoy her space! As a victim, I had to come up with some bogus-ass number that would allow me a safe distance from her: So I pulled a nice number out of my magic hat – 30 feet. They were so “nice” to use white-out on the “documents” to make the correction. Sheesh.

So off we went to file my civil harassment restraining orders at the “Civil/Probate Court”. Paw helped pay $6 for parking. So that was a total of $11 that day. When I had my formed presented at the “Civil Harassment” window, I asked the clerk if the judge would allow her to stop hosing down my property. She honestly said that [she can enjoy her property] and waved her hands as if shooing a fly.

Lo and behold, we didn’t have our checkbook or cashier’s check to pay the over $400 filing fee! They wouldn’t take cash! Besides getting lost the prior day, this was the last “hint” from the almighty Lawd. We tried to locate a local bank via my GPS smartphone but we weren’t customers of that bank. So Paw and I sweated it out back and forth and decided to go home because it was almost 04:00 PM of closing.

So you see folks, y’all won’t get justice until someone physically harms/injures you and your property. The best thing is to learn about your rights, know about the laws/regulations, and get an ADT Video Surveillance system to catch these damn crazies in action!
