The NeatWork Quick Scan Center is truly quick! I just found out how to resolve a pickle: To rescan faded documents with my flatbed scanner! That’s right! I have two scanners — NeatWork and Canon.
Anyway, since the NeatWork couldn’t scan three faded pages to my old income tax documents, I used my flatbed printer. But I didn’t have the latest drivers. I went online to get the updates but I remember having a copy on my personal computer and installed twice, not knowing why the messages keep coming up as “uninstalled”.
Since I refuse to follow directions and tried to take the short-cut, I ended up having to UNPLUG the cable, replugging it, turning on the scanner/printer (again) and allow the smart computer to detect installation of hardware. Voila! It worked, which explains I tend to do things the LONG WAY and why employers can’t figure me out! Bahahaha!
After scanning the three pages twice with the flatbed (because I’m not used to the new “screen shots” of these updates), each scanned item is first given a unique but optional “tag” name before pressing the “import” button. Each file is saved in a “default” folder, which I then cut and pasted ELSEWHERE for each record.
It’s the long way but the only way.
