This morning there at the bottom of my mug laid a dead insect. It was green all over, narrow – not quite ovoid and small – about the size of my pinky nail. I threw it out in the tall, beige-colored garbage bin of the mini-lunch room.
During my late mid-morning break, I walked around to see a dying worm on the sidewalk. I thought for a moment and should have put it back in its soil. But I didn’t because the camera was right behind me.
