After editing my paid CSS upgrade, I’m trying yet another WordPress.com theme:
The Journalist v1.9 by Lucian E. Marin
Journalist is a smart, minimal theme designed for professional journalists.
I modeled the colors of the background after the `Dusk` theme by becarry.
PROs:
- Time stamp is part of the meta.
- Tagline is nicely located over the sidebar.
- Links for `older` and `newer` entries appear for both single view and archive mode.
- The `Archives` link shows `Complete archive of the blog’s posts!` Now I don’t have to bother with the `Archives` widget, along with `Calendar`, `Tags` and `Categories`.
- The `Links` page shows `Complete list of the blog’s bookmarks!` Now I don’t have to bother with the `Links` widgets!
CONS:
- Eh, there is nothing bad about this theme so far. And why should it? The `Matt` meister uses it for his blog here at WordPress.com!
- The `.tag` element is currently `floating right`. When the tags and/or categories get too long, the text doesn’t wrap over nicely. Yuch.
