Republican John Lewis (D – GA): Sen. McCain and Gov. Palin are sowing the seeds of hatred and division, and there is no need for this hostility in our political discourse.
The current presidential election doesn’t have to go down the path and spread hatred and anger among humans. To divide each other based on mixed ‘race’ is yet another lesson that we all must learn: that outward appearance doesn’t matter even if Barack Obama is an Arab (from his father’s country of Kenya), a terrorist (for his association with 1960’s radical-thinkers, such as Bill Ayers), or a Muslim (prior to his current ‘Christian’ faith for sixteen years since marrying Michelle).
If he is truly Christian, Barack Obama should change his name. His middle name ‘Hussein’ is Arab’, said an ‘old soul’.
What matters is that the ‘Lord of Lies’ just tell the truth about his past, stop denying everything once and for all and let the voters know what he will do for the country and the whole world. The voters are entitled to know who he really is and why he would want the American taxpayers believe that another Democrat would fix the global financial crisis. He should not be afraid of being human or discount being part white, either.
‘Humans’ of mixed ‘race’ should not feel ashamed. For the sake of illustration: One cannot hate a black puppy from rest of its siblings of various colors just because it is a darker shade. One cannot show anger to a black puppy because it will always be precious and cute, of course. One cannot label a black puppy as a white cat because the puppy is born to be a dog by design.
By design, I feel the world is truly being controlled whereby ‘news actors’ avoid telling the truth due to the fear of being ‘removed from the scene’ (like Sean Hannity) and probably ending up dead for playing the race card in the first place. Perhaps, this election is not about winning the title for the next president of the United States but how much more crap from any political party the ‘humans’ will follow blindly like sheep to slaughter.
But ‘humans’ should not be metaphorically killed by the divisiveness on each others physiological makeup. Beauty is indeed in the eyes of the behold and for me I cannot image not loving baby ‘Chloe’, for example, from the television commercial (of Legal Zoom by co-founder, Robert Shapiro). She has light eyes, light skin, the prettiest smile after her ‘mom’ calls to her, curly hair and is cute as a button. Some black folks that I’ve spoken with happen to have blue eyes, too.

Regardless of how one looks like, below are other opinions on this label of ‘race’.
Obama on Malcolm X’s autobiography: One line in particular “stayed with me,” he says. “He [Malcolm X] spoke of a wish he’d once had, the wish that the white blood that ran through him, there by an act of violence, might somehow be expunged.”
Although an ‘old soul’ claims that most blacks are violent and absolutely will not vote for Barack Obama because he is [part] black, I personally don’t know a black person who comes off as being violent as portrayed through images (like crime dramas) and sounds (like gangster rap). The ones I’ve talked to seem ‘normal’ enough.
I cannot help you! said the white boy (J.K.)
‘Carl A.’ saw and heard what J.K. said to me. He was black and helped me once by providing a phone number to call for a tow truck. My car battery was dead. I’m sure the others around us at work knew what happened but they didn’t take much notice. It was an embarrassing moment and something I will not forget. But I am grateful for his kindness.
‘They are scary!’ said uncle Henpecked.
And, yes, sometimes when the black football players celebrate by jumping up and down, after making a touchdown at the end field, they are scary. But I thought that’s just they way they are when excited. And we all should be excited that people still could get along. I’d hate for riots to occur just because the losing team didn’t get a chance to rule the world.
Addendum on 10/15/2008 at 05:26PM:
‘They appear tough on the outside. But on the inside they are scared.’ ‘Buckteeth’ said.
So, they are louder than normal. But they too have fear.
