After resurrecting my laptop on Sunday, I’ve decided to test drive my new toy downstairs in the ‘family room’, which is really two sofas, a barcalounger and a television. This room is somewhat comfy with a north facing window to the side fence and the old eucalyptus tree. Below this window is the Singer, sewing machine, which ‘Maw’ uses to mend and create clothes.
While alone and on the barcalounger, I hooked up my archive of some photos via a USB device with a capacity of 4.64GB and decided to delete and duplicate ones from four years ago. It was during this testing that I’ve discovered how very slow and quite outdated this laptop (which was originally purchased back in September 2000. It works fine for my purpose as I tried to compose my thoughts into a word document and calculate my figures into a spreadsheet.
It does not, however, allow me to multi-task like I’m used to on my ‘primary’ computer, which is meant for gamers and by far faster than this piece of junk. In other words, I cannot open up several internet browsers and other programs at the same time. Listening to music locks up the browsers and I’d do the ‘three finger salute’ of ‘Control – Alt – Delete’ in order to ‘End program’.
So as I sat contently while redoing my various files on old photos, I would hear some very loud tappings on the wall and sometimes from the television set. I thought to myself that, nah, maybe these are but tree branches or small twigs being blown by the wind and hitting against the sides of the house. I may recall the time being around 12:18AM, which is really Monday morning (or yesterday if I get this blog entry posted by midnight tonight).
Pop, snap and tap probably amounted to a handful and then nothing more but more organizing of old files was done until another hour into the morning. I don’t know anything about etheric activities but have read one blog pointing out to demonic attacks. I thought these sounds originating from the walls would be entities making their presence known or their way of greeting others.
