I fail to understand why people play dumb and ignorant. I especially find those who assume the role of the subordinate slave as an excuse to empower the more intelligent partner into an early grave; whereby the stronger partner is forced to take action into his or her own hands just to pull the dead weight in a relationship, which I see as bad luck from the moment they moved in together.
The ones with the upper hand are lead to believe they are in control in their relationship and that any decision making is final, on the guise that the significant other is going along with the whole scenario. I feel something is wrong with this type of arrangements. It is almost as if the one with the alleged control factor is being set up for a downfall.
But the denial of putting up with the likes of stupid people continues and I am sad the report that after hearing the horror stories from bio-units, whose own children disown and disregard what the bio-units feel is not good, nay, downright wrong. As a result, I’ve come to the conclusion that no matter how much hope or ‘change’ (I’m reminded by the current theme by Obama Barack), people will not change.
The only change I see from dumb fools is starting over with a new life — the life each person wants to live no matter how stupid it appears to those who ‘sense’ something is not right; the life with new sets of friends, who are now themselves fools for not knowing the true color, the thick skin and face, that was left behind by those who were once closer than these new friends.
As I have observed, the next generation are exercising their ‘free will’ to do anything they want and say anything they want regardless whoever or whatever gets in their way of ‘true’ happiness and away from the old ways – the tried, true and tested where the wise words of the elders used to be the corner stone, the foundation and a place from which castles are build to last.
I see this ‘free will’ concept is only a good motivator for being selfish – to buy unnecessary junk (like a parishioner’s garden figurines, miniature sculptures and ceramic pedestals that with my hammer I could smash into many pieces as good as dust) and accumulate bigger, better and more expensive versions of the unloved, unwanted and outdated original and to toss out the old, worn and useless ones.
No longer is power as the means to get what they want. I’ve been pondering on how these scenarios play out in my own personal life. After reading about how Barack Obama lacks any ‘political baggage’ or experience for that matter, I wonder if he, like a certain dumb broad, could possibly be groomed to fit the mold. Why are people so blind to see past the color of the skin, culture or intelligence, knowing that their fate and destiny are being bought right underneath their noses?
