“When [Helen] Andelin writes that a feminine woman is never “crude, vulgar, harsh, overbearing or critical,” it is apparent that the fair sex is being deliberately degraded and neutered by the media. “All your conversation should reflect tenderness, patience, forgiveness, tolerance and love.””
I’ll have to agree with Helen on this particularity. However, if you have a wife, who takes asthma medications full of steroids, things around the household would be VERY different. There is NO femininity when a women ALSO has lost her hormones and built up many slong years of frustrations towards/against/of a stubborn old man who simply deals with problems by keeping silent and going back into his cave, not that he is being uncaring.
This same woman didn’t complain or raised her voice in “unfairness” while she raised two ungrateful children. She cooked, ironed, cleaned, and managed the household while disciplining these same unruly brats until they grew up WELL into their middle-aged bracket and while working OVERTIME as a Registered Nurse. The stress on this woman is NOT comparable to her husband’s lack of understanding. He worked overtime as a clerk and janitor.
I do not understand the word “femininity” or this “art”. What I understand is keeping things real, meaning if the woman has issues, that is HER problem. The same goes with men who need to solve their own inner problems. They both need to communicate, not deceive! I do NOT agree with giving in to sex as a reward for good behavior. I agree that beauty and a sexy body is necessary to keep the fe/male ego pride high and mighty. I agree that abuse/nastiness is not nice.
What I’ve observed is that men are simple. They need praise and attention, for example, through a simple smile and a gentle touch, not that I know but that’s my imagination. Men need a certain amount of freedom and an attentive women who will listen to his “adventures”. Anyway, women really should just speak up if help is needed around the house. But they should NOT complain about picking up after someone who can’t seem to clean up after themselves. I’m talking about the twit. Get it?
