Topic # 162 : What songs bring a tear to your eye? Explain why this song brings on the waterworks. Artist. Song.
Tears In Heaven by Eric Clapton
The sound is so slow and deliberate that I could feel the father's anguish in his voice and probably the guilt for his baby son's death.
Make Me A Channel Of Your Peace by St. Francis of Assisi
It's a religious prayer turned into a song. And when sung very slowly and meaningfully, I just start to cry. Something about the words touches my heart! Waaahhh!
Pachabel’s Canon in D Major by Boys Soprano
The boys choir sang this classical piece very slowly and when they hit the high notes, I started to cry. Something wonderful and beautifully familiar in the tonality touched my heart. I felt my heart chakra open up in between my shoulder blades, by the way. (I've entered this phenomenon on my WordPress.com weblog long ago in case y'all missed the entry!)
