Still tweaking my Site Profile

20250111-2240. I’m still tweaking the feeling and ‘sound’ of both my Site title and Site tagline.

So far, I have “Flynn’s Paws Blogs” and Rants for the Site title and “Unfiltered Thoughts: You Daily Dose of Small and Unheard Voices” for the Site tagline.

I forced myself to come up with my own but couldn’t and then I had no choice but to borrow/clone/copy/mirror/steal simplicity from the Site title of “John Jr’s Blog”.

But I wanted a super long Site Tagline. And although the two words, blogs and rants, fit my Website perfectly, I figured that more “keywords” might improve the SEO algorithms or whatever makes a blog receive more views and visits.

    Hello Flynn,

    I came up with my simple tagline because I wanted it to all fit on one line when someone is viewing my blog from a mobile device. 😀

      That’s one of the very reasons for keeping stuff simple. It’s easier for the viewing audiences, too. 😯

        I agree, being more ADA compliant / making things more accessible for more people is something that I think that we bloggers and all websites should consider.

    Yes, I agree, too. I was thinking about MM one of my favorite followers long ago told me that darker fonts and lighter backgrounds were easier for her to read because I believe her eyesight has been failing her/getting worse and that she had to get really up close to a visual display to see anything and has been having her someone else, especially her hubby to read the displayed text aloud to her. But I haven’t read anything new blog posts from her in a while. That’s all. Now you are forcing me to be more ADA compliant with EVERYTHING! Welp, it’s back to work for me as I try to create the ideal weblog with HUGE fonts for starter. Thanks for commenting again, John Jr!

      Hello Flynn, I hope that she is okay.

      As a visually impaired person myself, I like font that are dark enough / thick enough / large enough / simple & easy to read.

      Usually on a light to neutral background, light to not too dark.

      For some people, a dark theme works better for them visually, but most people (like myself) typically prefer the tried and true dark text on light to medium background. 😉

      I wish the Twenty Twenty theme would let you use a site logo and still keep the blog title.

      I also wish that it had a header image area.

      Then it would be the greatest default WordPress theme of all-time and finally be able to replace the Twenty Eleven theme, I may have missed a few minor things that Twenty Eleven could do that Twenty Twenty could not.

        I don’t know if she’s okay because she hasn’t emailed/replied thrice as expected. But she is still alive for another blogger’s post. So that’s good enough for me, I guess.

        I’ll keep tweaking, switching, editing and trying out other themes, including theme Twenty Eleven.

        This latest theme Brute me took me out the whole of this morning and I didn’t get to bed or really fall asleep until five o’clock in the morning.

        That’s all.

        Hello Flynn,

        Well, at least she is still alive, hopefully she will make contact with you again.

        If they could fuse Twenty Eleven and Twenty Twenty, that would be my idea theme.

        Or if they updated Twenty Eleven.

        Because its default font is slightly smaller than I like.

        So it is more difficult when writing & editing posts in that theme for me.

        But I do miss its header images and menu, and special page mode where it will show your latest 4 posts at the end of pages along with a special widget area.

        Even if you change the font and font size, that font & font size does not appear in the editor when making or editing a post.

        Also, headings look no different than bold, and links are not underline, which is not good & breaks best practices.
