Nutter’s Bloodline

Tonight, Maw recanted her prayers to St. Anthony and asked for his forgiveness in doubting his miracles in finding solutions to missing items. She had lost one pair of earrings last month and thanks to a 50% deal at Fred Meyer’s and a receipt good for exchanges/refunds within 150 days, she has been blessed with a similar style but 1/4 more worth of earrings.

In tonight’s story (as told yesterday again), she told of her phone call yesterday: Bella called Maw about Uncle Dead. He is nuts. He is making his wife nuts. He fights with everyone – co-workers, neighbors, relatives (during visits and weddings) and strangers. He is paranoid, too – thinking people are talking about him. Even his daughter cannot do anything about him.

It seems that Joh is wanted and he is nowhere to be found – perhaps he is hiding in the Philippines. (To TPTB: You could do a search on his sister’s name and there you will find a beach resort.) Anyway, Uncle Dead knew about the boy’s activities. I don’t know how these people could face their relatives after what they did the eldest sibling, who lost her house to her own relatives.

Uncle Gigolo is also in the investment scheme (by skimming off his eldest sister’s pension funds). Maw told Bella (finally) about how he gambled the mortgage money of his second wife, who thankfully had enough money saved to pay three month’s worth. The gambler had been borrowing money from everyone and his siblings got sick of giving him money, even his own daughter, who asked Maw long ago if it’s okay to help her dad.

That’s why he called Paw that one night. He needed money, which he doesn’t deserve. Bella had told Maw that the gambler wouldn’t pay a loan she made to him. Bella told his second wife, who in turn got mad at the gambler, who later fingered Bella in anger and said in Tagalog:

“Walang utang na loob mga tao!”

In English, the above phrase mean :  “None owed from the heart towards people”. But it was Bella’s husband who petitioned her to come to America, not the gambler.

Maw later went on to say:

“Don’t claim or go after money that doesn’t belong to you. Just be grateful you are happy with what you’ve got.”

And with that in mind and through my sniffled tears within my chest for the last ten slong years, again I ask God forgiveness. But most of all I owe TPTB and Pete an apology for squealing. That’s right! You are on the list! But there’s nothing TPTB or I can do at this point but observe (without my knowledge or consent, as usual) how much longer you plan on holding out while people starve and go homeless.

When I think about these people and my own relatives, I see that we have similar, if not, unfavorable traits:

  • Frustrations – Inability to get what we want.
  • Angers – Attacking others with verbal violence and emotional drains.
  • Jealousies – The pride of wanting to be noticed.
  • Fears – Defending ego against alleged attacks due to paranoia.
  • Vanities – Buying clutters of gold jewelry and diamonds and other useless junk.

What I learned from these people is to do avoid harming each other as much as possible. That means doing the right things in life, be honest about your limitations and strengths, never take the goodness and kindness of others for granted, and appreciate being perfect in an imperfect world.

These are ways one could avoid going nuts. The relatives going nuts have not learned to cope with their problems unfortunately instead of facing their life’s challenges with sincerity and hope. It’s too bad they had to screw people over – it’s karma. It’s debt. And hopefully, we children won’t pass down what we inherited to our children, too.
