Have you ever tried popping pimples or squeezing out blackheads?
Well, now you can learn how to snork out mucus from your sinuses. Here are my tips that worked for me:
First, when you feel the slow cascading of mucus reading to leave you sinus at anytime, don’t lose the opportunity to snork it out and spit it out immediately. Don’t hold back. Make all the noise necessary so the stuck mucus won’t drop into your windpipe and/or cause infection.
Second, when you take a shower or are near a sink or some sort of running water, you have let the water/steam help encourage the mucus to come out.
For this next part, you’d have to use you skills and imagination as I try to describe how to use the back of your tongue to snork out the mucus from the soft/upper palette in the back part of your throat.
- Keep your head straight.
- Press the back of your tongue, say towards the “middle” of the soft palette where the uvula is placed.
- Hold you breath and/or breathe as much as you could while articulating your jaw (like a snake) in such a way/every which way to press the “side” of the soft/upper palette you want to release your mucus.
- Feel the force/mucus come down at its own pace.
- Get ready to snork and let the mucus come out of your mouth and spit it out.
- If you happen to swallow your mucus, don’t worry and trust that your stomach acid will destroy whatever infection/virus/bacteria/mold/mildew/dust/pollens/fur/feather/whatever you ingested.
You may do this technique when you need to clear out your sinuses. Hopefully, you will have avoided getting sinus infection or congestion, too. Good luck!
