Franz Kafka says, “we ought to read only books that bite and stings us.” What’s the last thing you read that bit and stung you?
“Freemasonry in the 21st Century” by DB. I once used it to prop up the electric fan. I usually read this book during my bathroom sessions. I’ve not completed its entirety because I only stay on the toilet in less than a minute. Each particular sentence, taken together with its paragraph as a whole, seems to jump out of the page at THAT appropriate time and appears to answer some of my most troubling questions concerning: “Who am I”? “Where am I?” “Why am I here?”
Yes, in careful reflection throughout each reading encounter, I would giggle at certain revelation and laugh out loud at some of its ludicrous, if not far-fetched presentation:- My critical thinking was being taunted and the joke was and always shall be pointed back at the reader – moi! I couldn’t believe the “childishness”, if you will, of labels assigned to each archetype.
Archetype. Yes. That word has been looping over and over in my small mind for the past month or so. All those symbols are useless to me and again, “childish” – almost like giving eye-candy to a babe and sweetening up the worthiness of the “group” with flourishes for the egos of pompous fools. Yes. Yes. I am awestruck at the degradation. But I see hope and improvement. I’ll observe the ongoing trend of the Truth. Thanks, chumps.
