Do you know the meaning of your name, and why your parents chose it? Do you think it suits you? What about your children’s names?

Photographers, artists, poets: show us IDENTITY.

Pretty and faith. Both words do NOT describes my fugliness and faithlessness.

By some strange cultural convention and probably out of calendar convenience, the first name of the respective gender of the Filipino child is modified after matching the first letter of the respective gender of the Filipino parent’s first name.

The names of my three “children” – one girl and two boys –  are: Winnie (from the character of “The Growing Years” and the sound matching “pretty”); Buddy (a friendly version of “pal” from the character of “Married With Children”); and Mel (from the country singer “Meryl Haggard”).
