Flynn's Paws: My Thoughts, My Gripes

During this morning’s sermon the priest told a joke.

In the restaurant, people were eating and enjoying themselves. Suddenly, a long-time parishioner walks in and screams: “Father Peter! Father Peter!”

The priest was too busy to notice and continued eating. But the woman continued to call out his name. The other parishioners who were seated told the priest and pointed to the woman who quickly approached him.

So he turned his head and wasn’t prepared because he didn’t recognize her. He stood up with food still in his mouth.

The woman was obviously excited to see him and said aloud: “Because of you I became pregnant!”

The way she said it sounded like he was the father of the unborn child. Actually he is the Father! Get it?

The way the woman phrased her thanks and gratitude was mistaken. Instead, she meant to say that the prayers from the protest blessed her with child!
