Have you ever been addicted to anything, or worried that you were? Have you ever spent too much time and effort on something that was a distraction from your real goals? Tell us about it.
Photographers, artists, poets: show us ADDICTING.
Yes, I’ve been addicted to checking my empty emails and blogging constantly. Again, since I log in every thought, that has been a bad habit, especially during mealtimes and shamefully during bathroom sessions, too!
I have been especially worried that spending an inordinate amount of time in front of computers can be detrimental to my health and especially harmful to my social skills, since I’ve little to no interaction with human brings, err, little in general.
As a result, my real goals, if any, was to improve my communication skills. This had been somewhat accomplished through blogging. But by doing so and after being engrossed heavily on topics, such as conspiracy and paranormal, my ability to think clearly and straight has been compromised. The main complaint was that I would add extra meaning, or rather nonsense, and give unsound conclusions based on my mind-set/worldview that everything is not as it seems.
So while I’ve been reminded daily to keep everything simple, stupidily, I keep falling back to what I believe to know best, which does nothing or any good for me. My struggle continues as I learn the hard way – to respond properly and to speak only when necessary; to be open and honest; and to be knowledgeable enough to contribute to the conversation.
Otherwise, I’ll remain hidden in the privacy and comfort of my home; so as to avoid embarrassing myself in public ever again!
