So yesterday, Maw was boiling a pot full of beef bones with few meat (like the taste of pot roast) and cartilage. I think she put a small amount of “fish sauce” to taste, few wedges of onion and a couple if long slices of ginger.
While the bones were boiling, Maw boiled some veggies. She had ocra and small (banana) peppers from Fe (a younger sister of Nati, the mean eldest sister). She took those out and placed green beans, which take awhile longer to “steam”. She took those out and in went the baby bok choys, which cook rather fast because it is mostly watery in the stems.
