Britain and USA – I NOT forgive! I do NOT think many Vietnamese and others in my area could ever forgive, as bad stuff had happened to them and their families during WWII. I’ve not heard much from the Chinese, though.
Anyway, and as per my OLD blog, my mommy said that one of her brothers might have fallen into the hands of invaders of their old town, which evacuated immediately. He was coming home from working in the fields. That’s how fast and ruthless those unfortunate enough to know the killing fields.
And yesterday Das Squirrel is still grieving over his mommy, sharing how he would have been a better son had he been more behaved and visited her more often, and how terrible she must have felt to be the last of her siblings.
So I guess no matter how distant the relations – the wounds can run deep. I’ve had the brief opportunity to work at a temp gig and I observed how well-disciplined and respectful each worker is towards each other.
I don’t need to mention their ‘nationality’ as my sentiment ran high, too. The client (an old woman) hugged me, though after telling me to listen well. Yup, I’m stubborn.
