After Dad ate breakfast, we visited our to Mom. We saw her up and about and looking better. She had a headache since coming to the hospital Thursday.
So Aletha, the nurse, is a young Filipina. She seemed pissed. I could tell from the way she roughly closes the hanging drapes.
I noticed that some nurses are more connected with the patients than others. But most are too busy to care.
I noticed that they are too busy to adjust the patient for comfort, too. They do provide ice compress after Mom requested, though.
So I end up tending for her while the nurses watch their damn monitor screens at their stations. They come in when the alerts chime.
As for Mona the SAI, she’s smart. She did share how the curriculum for the schools of some of her classmates are not recognized in America.
And they end up taking the courses all over again! She mentioned a classmate in the Philippines who was told she couldn’t take the board exam for RN, but only was allowed LVN.
Dad told me that story en route to the hospital this morning. He said the Philippines take/pocket the money of foreign students.
I just received a text message from my Auntie Edith as a greeting for Valentine’s Day. I told her about Mom staying in the hospital since Thursday, undergoing X-RAY, CTSCAN, MRI for her head, neck, heart, and both legs, and costing thousands of dollars.
So far the Cray-Cray hasn’t replied. So far the Twit Wifey refuses to visit Mom. That folks goes to show how humanz lack compassion. But she called later on that she may visit Mom on Sunday after the hospital discharge.
Dad reported to me that Das Squirrel complained about how the Twit Wifey feels manipulated by the fact that I’m the elder sister. Weird. I think either Dad misinterpreted/misheard or his boy is still Cray-Cray from hurt feelings.
If that’s the case, I shall exercise my full POWER over her traditional Chinese superstition and FORCE her to visit Mom!
Hiss!
