Poo-poo on professional pianists! I’m sitting on third floor of PAMF building and listening to him again. He looks like an Asian or Hispanic Steven/Stephan Urkel with big eyeglasses. He wore dirty clothes and dirty sneakers! WTF? But he played soothing, slow-paced CLASSICAL music from memory. I might have recognized one song as Beethoven but don’t know because I don’t have all his music to play at home.
I told Mom what happened that day when the security guard kicked me out from playing on the black baby grand piano. Mom knew right away the reason why: diversity. I hate that word “diversity”.
She said I may/might have offended other religions and she quickly sited Buddhism but emphasized Muslims. I don’t understand how people would get offended when most CHORAL music is derived from classical music.
I think Latinos and Americans in general are truly stupid. So that professor from SJSU is correct. Why should funds from the Tower Foundation go to stupid people, just for the sake of “diversity”? I’ve donated here because it’s my Alma Mater and don’t appreciate y’all funding based on my last name!
Anyway, I was playing Amazing Grace flawlessly twice, the Soul of My of Saviour twice, and then the Cherubim Song once. I got stuck deciding what else to play afterwards until that swollen security guard bumped me out.
So I sat upstairs and ate my Fiber One Chocolate Chip bar and fumed. We walked down the marbled stairs and sat down on the lobby chair where I fumed after being kicked out that day/last week.
Yeah I felt disenfranchised and ostracized and whatever for subtly worshipping in public. Mom is correct, though.
