At around 1138 yesterday morning, my NeatDesk scanner died! It was already acting up earlier this year. It would scan the duplex/back side improperly and had steaks of black on top on the pages.
But in this fateful morning, I tried loading one page to scan and the scanner made farting noises! I run the unit off and on and tried loading the same sample page. But each time the faring noise would NOT stop.
And gratefully, Dad offered to pay for a new NeatConnect scanner at Best Buy for $469.00 or a total $511.12! Behind this is another synchronous event in which symbolic “messages” appears as double/triple numbers, or codes.
The other day and more frequently, Mom’s blood glucose level reading would show 111! The cars’ dashboards should also show series of repetitive numbers.
Anyway, I had difficulty with the Wi-Fi password. Registration was easy and so were the screen prompts. I received two emails instantaneously, one welcome massage and one three-months free cloud service, which I won’t use often, since my project is mostly for archiving and NOT for sharing.
The rollers gripped good and it was hard to pull the pages out or else the alignment of the scanned item will be crooked. Plus, I didn’t want the old paper to be ripped apart.
Last night, I finished ten most recent years of tax returns for Dad, all his car insurance premium payment and notices, and all his payment and abatement notices for his property in Willits, and barely all the vehicle registration, notices, and cards this morning until Mom hollered and Dad pounded in the wall because of two doctors appointment.
I’m stuck waiting in the lobby of Melchor Pavilion for my parents. We were early to arrive about one hour ago!
The green-colored sofa chairs are painful to sit because it gives in too much. But that was before I discovered his to relieve my painful back problems. Now I could sit for longer without much pain in my hips, legs, feet, and mostly my back.
We’re going to shop at DeCA and then maybe attend noontime mass at the OLP where I could out sing the singer.
