For the first time, Mutha and I watched a televised show called “So You Thing You Can Dance”. She left in one hour. But I’m still here enjoying the show while eating Lay’s Cheesy Garlic Bread flavored potato chips for the first time too.
I like that YaYa and her hip-hop moves. But Mutha could see she wasn’t that good. I can’t tell but she did perform swell in the Contemporary dance.
I noticed that those with ballet background are more graceful and flexible, too. Those “street performers” can “get by”with a few moves of their own.
Overall, I like the presentation of this show because these are serious dancers. And although I’m not professionally trained to see that the judges expect, I could “feel” where they excel and areas where they are weak. I see what the judges see, after the fact, of course.
There’s lots of hidden talent out there. And I’m amazed that dancers can memorize the required moves so fast/quickly! I’m especially impressed with their athleticism.
But I don’t like seeing anyone fall down and get injured. I do see their pain and suffering, and their disappointment and tears after being eliminated by the judges.
Another main reason why I like this show is because the judges comments are kept short. The highlights are also less stressful to me, the viewer, because I get impatient and anxious on what’s next.
Like they say in show business, let’s keep the showing rolling or something like that.
