Tonight, I got lost! I left work around 5:30pm in the hopes of avoiding traffic but the southbound Interchange 87 had it’s meter lights on — that’s one car per red light. It’s the first time I’ve used that bridge which curved to the left going up and then downward to the meter lights.
Being the dummy that I am, I was looking for the Coleman Ave. exit! But the connecting traffic was Skyport Drive, which was the very first off ramp from I-87! So for 1/2 mile I exited off Taylor Street and traveled back 1/2 mile.
But since the skies started getting dimmer, I didn’t see the Staples stores to the left! I ended up at the SCU (or Santa Clara University) campus! Then I had to make a U-turn and find my way back towards the De La Cruz Blvd. off-ramp. Then I found the store and parked next to a truck near the disabled section.
After using their toilet, I wanted to buy my very first NeatDesk — Desktop Scanner + Digital Filing System! After going up the aisles for the phones, printers and fax machines, I decided to try the last aisle nearest the digital media area.
I found it and Samir was there to assist after a few seconds of looking at the price list of $399.99. He was a VERY tall-looking, dark-skinned Muslim with a slight beard. And he actually knew what was a UX-3CR fax machine film and got it for me! Now that’s service!
The NetCo box is cute: It has a white handle on top for carrying and the top is orange while the rest is white all over! I’m tempted to get the little scanner but don’t think I’ll need it, not unless I’m traveling for business, which is still pending thank in part TPTB.
