During my lunch break, I decided to take only 30 minutes. After eating and working at my desk, I walked twice around the place from 1:00pm to 1:20pm. After the last 1/4 of the second circuit, I could feel my left ankle giving out. It must me old age.
But I managed to keep a steady pace during the first circuit while trying to return the call of my “head hunter” twice and leave a voicemail message the second time: “Everything is going great”.
That’s a one-liner I’ve been getting from the “fat bastard”. Nonetheless, the “head hunter” claimed to have heard “wonderful” feedback from the client. She has not heard anything else and neither have I to the effect of getting my neck axed or this job converted and the stuff materialized.
As for one of my “Non-IT Request” ticket here, it has been filled during that walk. The fresh cement is still a darker gray color. And the vertical orange pole and yellow flag marked off the area. Perhaps, I should be a “health and safety” officer. It’s what I do best: complain properly, notate diligently, and rant profusely.
