Yesterday (Friday, 01/01/10), Edna fed us healthy snacks of carrot sticks, celery sticks and small red bell peppers, flavored with spinach dip each time. And Danillo helped refill our tea cups with water. I wanted to finish the dish because our fingers were already touching those but some were left.
Lately, we’ve felt full on Romaine lettuce, too. Toppings to our salad include cherry tomatoes and Spanish olive of green color. Porridge of sweet rice and the usual meat stuff of chicken hearts and gizzards and of beef tripe, which is bad for those with gout-filled uric acid, is finished.
We’re trying to vacuum up the remaining Costco bread filled with whole garlic, which made Paw’s breath severely annoying! Small doughs of puto (a Filipino snack of sticky dough, usually white and sometimes purple made with ube) is good as snack.
The staple of diet of most Asians is rice, which we are eating sparingly.
