I quit that place because the NEW nurses were not giving the best treatment for their patients.
The man was old. His IV was very DRY! I wanted him to live.
This is what Hilda told to us after we three have done our shopping at the Burlington Coat Factory in Saratoga, CA. As a nurse, she knew how to take care of patients the OLD way, emotionally and as people. Nowadays, the new nurses don’t care about the patients, treating them as another workload and numbers on pieces of papers, which already overloads the computer-trained nurses, who are nothing more than overworked robots, playing the role as doctors, too.
So if Obama wants to make changes in the healthcare industry, nurses must be trained to care for the WELL BEING of patients more than paperworks, which could be given to nurses in training at all times. But as for the LVN or CNS, those are the ones that should also provide the best care but don’t as expressed by Hilda earlier this afternoon. Why? It’s because they are NOT licensed! Without that license, they will not do the BEST job.
During Saturday’s morning talk show on our local radio station 560am-KSFO, one of the callers mentioned that licensed nurses (RN’s) are not able to find full-time work. Instead, they work part-time, which probably makes sense; so that they are NOT overworked. Isn’t that why the nurses complain in the first place? That there is not enough nurses to pick up the workload or that nurses cannot take time off during holidays because of their importance to the lives of people in need?
