Eh, so in the morning, we awoke early to attend the 07:00AM morning mass. The street lights were still on, meaning that the sunlight was not bright enough. And how could the sun come out when the rain started lightly and then poured very hard upon our arrival home from church about an hour later?
What strikes me as amazing is the fact that my thoughts were heard — from a nice blog entitled ‘Merry Christmas’ to the sudden stoppage of rain. Around noon time, the sun came out after two hours when the twosome left to do their errands.
Breakfast was lots of pancakes (Aunt Jemima’s Original recipe) (which I made), scrambled eggs (with the boy made), ham and the traditional ni-loo-gaw, poos-puus or really porridge with beef tripe, strips of chicken and saffron for flavoring.
My gift was a personal check from Paw. It will help pay down my mounting credit card debt — thanks in part to ‘TPTB’. But I should be thankful that I had enough to spend for gifts for others, seriously.
Maw got her expensive gold-colored dress worth over $300.00 to wear to the boy’s wedding on Sunday. Paw got his blue-colored quilted comforter and sham from JC Penny’s on sale for $29.99. He also got a pink-colored version for the empty bed next to him.
The twosome got their wedding gifts worth over $1,000.00 through the convenience via Macy’s and Pottery Barn. And my long distance friend got his for just knowing too much about me. At this point, I will really need to keep my promise.
But thanks to the ‘network’, there is still another person whom I need to repay for holding hands on and for our behalf. I’ll have to admit that Christmas is truly a blessing in disguise for some, of course.
I viewed today as another peaceful and relaxing one as I typed out my long-headed, six-paged speech for the wedding. It is about my interpretation of love and how remembering love means a lot. I will post that speech later because my ego is big.
Later on after finishing up what is to me my first ‘prepared’ speech in front of the public, I browsed the internet for the perfect song that I could sing during the ‘Parent’s Dance’ of the groom. It is ‘Could I Have This Dance‘ by Anne Murray.
I remember the refrain and first verse from long ago and took out the pages (32 and 33) out of my binder upstairs to memorize the second verse well enough to perform. I will dig up the cassette tape we have of that song and we will sing and dance along maybe tomorrow for more practice.
Yup, I really don’t know what else to add except bump off the stupid email sent by one of the bridesmaid. You see, I’m an old timer and told that wanna-be Prada shopper that I don’t want those kinds of ‘tasteless’ jokes.
Stupid twits! I’m sorry. I don’t want to be prejudice but they are not Filipino, period. I will actually say words in Tagalog followed by translations in English for the few ‘Westerners’ attending that event. Sheesh.
