After helping ‘Maw’ to prepare the ingredients to her pancit malabon (noodles, chicharones, shrimps, tofu, annatto and tofu) and clean up afterwards, I have submitted my comments to the City of San Jose a few minutes ago.

This is about the sloppy services received today, Friday, 01/11/2008. This was noticed upon our arrival from the local 99 Ranch Market after attending morning mass and eating breakfast at McDonald’s restaurant.
I have mentioned in the body of my feedback my concern that the cans have been laid on their sides instead of in an upright position properly and that the yard trimmings are dragged along the streets in an unattractive appearance.
We have two main services as follows:
1.2. Recycling Services (RY 96 GAL)
2.0. GWASTE
2.1. Yard Trimmings Car Services
1.0. GCS
1.1. Garbage Services – Single Family Dwelling (GB 32 GAL)
I also mentioned that I’ve taken photographs to support the complaints made by other neighbors who live many blocks away from where we live. I suggested the marked improvement on our pick-up services in and around our city.
I do advocate change for the better. But as I’ve seen earlier today, the city service has gotten worse. I don’t know if this is because the city has changed vendors or contractors or whatever.
I do not feel us taxpayers need to continue paying unionized folks such high cost and for shoddy services. As paying customers, we should at least let our city know what areas need to be addressed and hopefully resolved. And this is what I’ve done today.
This is not the only time I’ve sent my comments, feedbacks or complaints to this level of government. I do hope that the city replies to one of my many Yahoo! email addresses, which by default is required. I did include my first and last name in the closing line of the ‘letter’ to make sure noone overlooks us old timers.
