“Would you ever wait in line overnight for something? If so, what?”
No! For an economist, time has value. Therefore, waiting in line overnight, fighting over a pair of sneaker and landing in jail for committing crimes can be COSTLY. After a while the fad looses value and humans will find replacements of something better to fill the “void”. Therefore, I wouldn’t wait in line, not unless it means for the chance of healing and redemption.
