When I was laid off from work back in June 2006, I didn't know what I wanted to do with my life. I waited for my investment to manifest. Fast forward to July 2010, TPTB continue to fail me.
During that time of turmoil and distress, I've learned to seek comfort in from the of the computer regularly. Oh sure, I knew about blogging back in February 2006. But that hobby didn't manifest until I couldn't stand being home bound and penniless!
Thanks to my discovery of WordPress.com, I've found Plinky.com as my supplement to a lonely lifestyle, not of my choosing but a karma to be a slave by the masters who dare to test my fortitude.
Anyway, Facebook is nothing to me. I can't post what's on my mind freely without my `Friends`, who are mostly relatives lurking online. But the internet and the First Amendment right for `free speech`, helps a shut-in know true freedom of the mind.
