YOUR PLACE IN TIME-SPACE
I stepped through a door. I didn’t know what was behind that door. But I opened it and found myself in a different world. Fast forward almost thirteen slong years and my perspective of life changed dramatically. I definitely was no longer in Kansas anymore but in the same old house in California. For over thirty years, I’ve lived at my home. But life at the homefront would never be the same.
Prior to stepping through one of my most unique “life-changing” event, I was a cubicle slave who worked diligently and long hours, never really stopping to take breaks or lunches. I earned my way doing repetitive, tedious duties as a data entry clerk. And I saved whatever hard-earned penny for the rainy days.
Little did I realize that my world would turn upside down! I took the bait and the trap was set. She couldn’t free herself. She became an experimental pawn, nay a money mule, and she put ALL her golden eggs into a cold, steely basket owned by those damn beasts, those giant abominations in the eyes of the Lord.
At least she thought that was the intention of no ill-will by those fugly brothers. How dare they take an innocent’s life! Alas, the rainy days came and went. The sun no longer shined for her. She was down in the dumps and felt like a homeless beggar going through leftover meals she thought would have fed her ego brimming with pride that one day she would reach that glass ceiling of success.
She did. But she fell back down to earth with a momentous thump. When she hit “ground zero”, she became aware. Her eyes were wide opened. This door lead to many more doors opened to her! While she doted and gloated over her new-found, yet rude awakening, she cajoled yet denied this could be true – it was all a big joke! The whole damn world was an illusion!
But she didn’t laugh out loud. No! She couldn’t profess she knew anything worth sharing, not by faith alone. Betrayed, she tried through her blogs but no one would believe. So she shed many more tears and cursed her fate. There was nothing she could do. It was too late. She couldn’t turn back now. She had to go “forward”. And that didn’t stop her.
“Keep going.” She said to herself. “Maybe I’ll find my way out of here and one day realize that it was meant to be. If only I could wake up from this bad dream!”
