Who are we to say:
“This one is for sale.”
Why not advertise the truth:
“This was hand picked by us.”
By the blood of your
red-colored skin;
By the sweat of your
yellow-colored brows; and
By the tears of your
green-colored trousers;
may you be blessed
to know how we
all got here together —
in one big cornucopia
basket of plenty.
The product of
your desires are
all ripe and ready
to eat until
the next batch
of migrant workers
is needed
to fill your
grocery shelves,
with TLC.
