Since we can’t make food and need to harvest plants and slaughter animals, I do NOT know or like to prepare food because that process is too time-consuming, messing, and polluting of the environment – most of us do NOT compost our food scrapes and that’s what I meant.
I do NOT cook or know how to mix ingredients from scratch and do rely on and prefer to follow popular recipes. Initially, I told our favorite podcaster that I knew how to “cook”. But later phone conversation, I told him that I burn food.
Recently, I’ve been burning food because I’ve been multi-tasking – being in a hurry to complete everything all at once. And once my back is turned away from the stove or my attention is diverted to another activity, I would forget about the cook that I’m cooking.
I experienced one fire oil – to which I stared at the orange and HOT flame shooting up from the cookware – slowly digesting what is happening and then remembering to grab a METAL lid, which I used to snuff out the flames or what would have been a fire alarm call.
Yesterday, I overly cooked or burned one side of my organic Angus beef patty while eating yet another late lunch with my elderly father. The other side of the beef patty was already cook. But within a few minutes, burning yet another foodstuff would have happened.
Boiling food is much easier for me. I would boil our frozen veggies for our evening meal; since I prepare fresh salad for lunch with cranberries, sweetened walnuts, something beets, garlic-flavored croutons and whatever salad dressing made outta vile veggie oils.
But if I could “cook”, I would try nothing because I have nothing inside my brain or mind. Since it’s just my dad and me, I don’t cook and find myself NOT eating much by skipping breakfast, only eating “meat” for lunch; and veggies for lunch and dinner.
