Ouch! After one sinus wash with a neti pot kit, I can breath much better. For the past week or so, I’ve been congested, mostly in the left nostril. In the past couple of days, I had a severe attack of post nasal drip during morning mass at our local parish. It was embarrassing.
So I finally remembered how I once benefitted from my first sinus wash treatment. This was the second time, only more thorough as I used one neti pot of filtered water and one saline pack.
The process took some time for me to reprogram my gag reflexes by relaxing and studying how the liquid was draining as far back a possible into my sinuses. The drain from my right nostril went into my congested left sinus. Promptly, I felt the liquid open up my left eustacian tube and with a loud snap, crackle and pop, my left ear felt clear.
I still could feel some soreness towards the upper back portion of my soft palate. I continued to drain my sinuses, blow my nose and spit out mucus, which is still clear. Hopefully, the saline will help clean and heal any open wounds of the sinus passages.
