Well, Theresa D. joined me for three lapses around the block at our workplace.
1st lapse:
The conversation started out with her asking me if I was Catholic. I told her that I’m Christian and have not yet been confirmed. She then opened up the topic about NOT believing in people who attend mass and don’t act like Christians. She goes on about being fearful of tragedies of death with people around her and thus she attends mass as a Catholic for comfort and peace.
2nd lapse:
She then mentioned how she had a younger brother who took automotive classes, became a finance manager of an automotive place and then a CEO of his own company, only to loose his fortune and become a lender at a local bank. He still has two houses.
3rd lapse:
She told of how she felt sorry for her parents living in a mobile home with their forty year old son while she lived in a renovated house worth more than $200,000 with her husband and three children; owned a $20,000 car and gives her relatives the impression that she’s rich.
She talked of how she should dress to impress among her relatives who are dressed to kill instead she comes wearing her jeans. Of course her children wanted her to dress up better for those occasions.
Of course, the conversation describes her being a giving person and I of course told her I had everything but gave it away. And now I’m STARTING OVER. She is the only `stranger` that I disclosed that information and my family doesn’t know about my monkey business, by the way.
She left with a smile and a `God Bless You`. That’s nice.
